A Viagem do Oriente de Le Corbusier levou-me a conhecer a Rainha da Roménia, Pauline Elisabeth Ottilie Luise zu Wied (1843-1916) consorte do Rei Carol I da Roménia. Reconhecida como uma excelente pianista, cantora, escritora e pintora foi, sobretudo, na literatura que mais se celebrizou sob o pseudónimo de Carmen Sylva. Escolhi o poema "A Mãe" para aqui a recordar.
