Boa noite!

And you read your Emily Dickinson,
And I my Robert Frost,
And we note our place with bookmarkers
That measure what we’ve lost.

Letra de Paul Simon
Apparently with no surprise
To any happy flower,
The frost beheads it at its play In accidental power.
The blond assassin passes on,
The sun proceeds unmoved
To measure off another day
For an approving God.

Emily Dickinson

A voice said,
Look me in the stars
And tell me truly, men of earth,
If all the soul-and-body scars
Were not too much to pay for birth.

Cromos - 26

Blue-Butterfly Day

It is blue-butterfly day here in spring,
And with these sky-flakes down in flurry on flurry
There is more unmixed color on the wing
Than flowers will show for days unless they hurry.

But these are flowers that fly and all but sing:
And now from having ridden out desire
They lie closed over in the wind and cling
Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire.

Humor pela manhã ...

Os poetas e os seus empregos. Uns mais interessantes do que outros. Adorei particularmente os casos de Robert Frost e Emily Dickinson, também dos meus preferidos.
